Did you also read the books? They spend more time dorking around in their spaceship waiting to get to their next destination than they do in the series, because TV has to be more action-packed.

Note: I have only read the first 3 books, and I only watched one season. Eventually I'll probably read the rest of the books, but probably won't watch the rest of the TV.
