(that's Heidi "GUNS BAD BAD GUNS EVIL BAD GUNS" Behrens-Benedict, for those of you who don't live in Washington's 8th district). Note to Democrats: if you want to win back the house, it would help if you, like, ran actual candidates.

Yeah, I know, the "Angry Soccer Mom" shtick worked for Patty Murray, but one can rely on this too much...

(I also wrote myself in for local Republican precinct chairman; we'll see how many people actually turned the ballot over and voted on this important office. Unfortunately, there appear to be Actual Republicans® in my precinct...)

We should do a write-in campaign next year. After all, half the damn seats around the eastside are unopposed and what are you doing anyway?

well, there's the Small Matter that I'd be a sucky candidate for different reasons (e.g., I don't go to church, which probably immediately disqualifies me w.r.t. about 70% of the population...)
