so if you're impressively bored, feel free to try Counties of Washington or Cities of King County. The latter is likely to be pointless unless you actually live here, and maybe not even then.

And of course, I can now do them both in about 1m20s; please shoot me.

For firni we also have Cities of Snohomish County and folks further south might want to try Cities of Pierce County

(which of course gives away three of the counties on the counties quiz, oh well...)

I cannot resist doing these silly quizzes.

Eastern Washington sucks. I named the majority of counties in 2 minutes, then a long blank. It took me maybe a minute more to remember Skamania, the final Western Washington county. I remembered that a lot of Eastern Washington counties are named after presidents and that got me to 32 before I ran out of time at 6 minutes. I'm kind of embarrassed that I forgot Walla Walla and Whitman.

I got 29 cities in King County, missing only most of the small ones. I should have had 30 but I forgot that "Beaux Arts" technically has a "Village" in its name.

I got 15 of 20 cities in Snohomish County, even though I should have gotten Lake Stevens because I knew there was a "Lake ___" on Highway 9 but the name wasn't coming to me.

I got 15 of 23 cities in Pierce County. I should have remembered Orting, Roy, and Buckley but didn't.

think of it this way: some day you'll be running for office, you'll be out on the campaign trail, talking to someone from some jackhole town, you'll let slip that you have no idea where that is, they'll be grossly offended, and then you'll lose.

Given how developers and the city of SnoLOLmish have a huge hard-on for the hill we live on (OMG URBAN VILLAGE!!), I'm betting we won't even be LIVING here in another, oh, five years.

Learning the names of jackhole towns in Eastern WA? No problem. Too bad there aren't any jobs over there for zenbastard. Besides, he whines that Wenatchee reminds him of BAKERSFIELD. Um, a few too many mountains and valleys, buddy.
