Holy crap, MathML works here

It seems we can do shit like and maybe also . Wheee…
(And if this isn't looking right, you may need to switch/update your browser: Google just released Chrome 109 which includes MathML support for the first time in a long while. Firefox has evidently had this since forever. Probably pointless waiting for Microsoft Edge to catch up (Update (2023-01-14): Edge caught up). And Opera is owned by the Chinese now, so you probably shouldn't be using it anymore. Bleah.)
Looks like I get to go update my math-heavy posts.

Date: 2023-01-13 03:51 am (UTC)Hm. It seems someone has created a MathML extension for Edge, which I just installed and it seems to work except its display mode for <math> things apparently defaults to "block" (whereas the spec says "inline" should be the default) and for in-line stuff it seems to goof on overall font sizes.
Also, it seems Edge and Chrome are based on the same rendering engine (Chromium) and seeing as how Chrome now is able to render MathML, one might surmise Edge support might not be as far off as I thought …
Looks like they haven't updated Android Chrome to 109 yet. Samsung's browser is probably hopeless.
