Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series is now completely out of hand. I just finished the recently published tenth book. It's 700 pages, covers about three days worth of events, and introduces about 20 new characters. Figure the 900 page "Rand has breakfast" book is not far off at this rate.

I hate it when editors utterly lose control.
