Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series is now completely out of hand. I just finished the recently published tenth book. It's 700 pages, covers about three days worth of events, and introduces about 20 new characters. Figure the 900 page "Rand has breakfast" book is not far off at this rate.

I hate it when editors utterly lose control.

I read the first one and it was such complete and utter crap I couldn't go any further. I was amazed there were more of them and even more amazed to find that there continue to be more of them being produced. Who reads this stuff?! I thought to myself.
Now I know. =P
